How do I know you sell genuine model cars?
As an authorised distributor and dealer, and a preferred business partner for all manufacturers I represent - I only source genuine model cars, direct from factory. Some models come with Certificate of Authenticity. Limited edition models have specific numbers that can be verified with the manufacturer.
Do your model cars come with open parts like doors etc.?
Most models do not come with this feature, unless otherwise stated in description.
Can I remove your model car from its base?
Yes. All model cars are screwed to the base and can be removed from it.
Does your model car come with a display base and case?
Unless otherwise stated in item details, all model cars come with a display base and high quality plexiglass display case.
Where are your model cars made?
Italy and China. See Brands page for details.
How closely matched are your model cars to the real cars?
All brands I deal with are authorised and licensed by manufacturers of the real cars. They are a true representation of the real vehicle.
What are your model cars made of?
High-end resin and die-cast (see item description).
How much do I pay for pre-orders?
Pre-order options include a full amount or $100 deposit. Please note the $100 deposit (or $100 part of full payment) is not refundable under any circumstances. Pre-order balance must be paid for within 7 days of notification. If not paid, we reserve the right to cancel the order with a $100 non-negotiable administration fee.
I want to buy multiple cars. Can you help me with a better price and combine postage costs?
Certainly. For orders of more than 1 car, I combine packages and this reduces the cost. Discounts are discussed on individual basis.
Do you have a physical shop, retail outlet?
No physical retail outlet available. This helps reducing costs and allows me to have flexible hours.
Can I pick up the model cars in person?
Yes, please contact me immediately upon placing the order to arrange a pick-up day and time. Pick-up from Oakleigh (VIC) only.
Does your price include GST?
Yes.
What is your currency?
Depending on your location, the price can be displayed in your local currency. All prices are charged in Australian Dollars (AUD).
How can I pay?
Automatic payment options are available during checkout and include credit card, PayPal and Apple Pay. I also offer cash payment option and bank details for EFT payment method - please contact me direct for assistance.
What hours do you work?
I am flexible and available during daytime as much as time allows for it. Yes - this includes weekends and public holidays. Contact me any time and I will assist.
Can I secure a model car you have in stock and get it later?
If the model car is in stock and you wish to secure it against your name, I will require a full payment. Contact me directly about this.
I don't like what I received. Can I send it back for refund?
Please make sure you carefully select your model car as I do not accept “change of mind” returns.
I received something different to what I ordered. How can you help?
If the model car received is different to what you ordered (major fault), then I offer a refund, exchange or credit towards your next purchase. Delivered model car to be shipped back to me to be inspected for re-sale.
Can I cancel my order?
Prestige Model Cars does not allow for order cancellations however I reserve the right to final decision on each and individual basis. For any cancelled order, there is a non-negotiable cancellation and administration fee of $100. This does not include custom built orders, special orders and already shipped model cars - no cancellations under any circumstances.
How long before I receive my pre-order?
Pre-orders vary depending on each manufacturer and their manufacturing schedules. We are unable to provide exact delivery date for pre-orders, unless we clearly state it in the model car description.
How does a gift card work?
Gift cards come with pre-selected value. They do not expire, they can’t be partially refunded. You can use multiple gift cards in an order. Gift cards cover shipping costs.
How secure is your packaging?
All models are packed in a bigger, thicker (double wall) grade carton box with padding and are secured in place. I have never had any breakage or transit damage. Additionally, I take photos of the packaging before it is shipped.
When will I get my model car?
Model cars orders are processed and shipped every Friday and Saturday. I ship regular air post with tracking and signature on delivery. Delivery times vary - Australia post usually delivers within a week in Australia, unless unforeseen circumstances prevent it. International packages take approximately 2-3 weeks to arrive - depending on local couriers and delivery schedules.
How much is postage?
Free of charge (standard post) Australia wide. International freight costs vary country to country, please select your country during check out to get the estimate. Buyer is responsible for all taxes and duties at their delivery destination.
Can you help with taxes and duties?
Contact me upon placing an order and I will be more than happy to assist with that with special documents. I offer sending the models as a gift, which allows flexibility in workarounds regarding the import costs in your country.
Item arrived damaged. What do I do?
Every package is labelled with FRAGILE stickers and is packaged with plenty of padding inside to protect from any accidental damage. If the accident happens, please make sure to take immediate photos of the packaging inside out and send them to me, together with order number and your details.
